Entry Requirements
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passports.
2. Applicants must abide by the laws and regulations in China, having good character and respecting Chinese social customs and habits.
3. Applicants must meet one of the following academic conditions:
Fresh graduates without degree certificates must be registered at the state administration and should provide pre-graduation (studying) certificates. It is required to provide nationally recognized degree certificates before September 1st of the admission year;
A corresponding or equivalent undergraduate degree recognized by the state;
Applicants have received bachelor's degrees.
4.Applicant is physically and mentally healthy without severe diseases, infectious diseases or serious physical defects. Applicant must pass the required national admission physical examination.
5. Applicants with HSK4 but could not reach the level of language proficiency required for studying majors, that is, HSK4 with a score of 220 or above/HSK5 (required for majors related to management) must study Chinese for one year and pass the required score of HSK4 or HSK5 before commencing the major study.
Notes: Students who do not meet the requirements for Chinese language proficiency should have a one-year additional Chinese language course and only after meeting the requirements can they start the major study, or they have to extend the Chinese language learning or discontinue the study.
6. All healthy non-Chinese citizens under 35 years old.

Program Description
Duration of Study
A training duration for a Master student is flexible and the basic duration is 2~3 years in China University of Geosciences.
Training plan for Postgraduates
A training plan of a postgraduate must be made according to the requirements of the Subject Outline.Each plan should contain two parts, a course study plan and a thesis plan.The course plan, which should be made by a supervisor or his postgraduate, must be submitted to the Foreign Students Office within the first month.The thesis plan should be completed within one year and a half.Training Plan Table of Postgraduate should be signed by the supervisor and approved by the dean of the faculty before being submitted to the Foreign Students Office and the Postgraduate School.
Courses and Credits
1. Master students should spend one year or more on courses study after the entrance.
2. The courses of study for Master students consist of two parts, degree courses and elective courses.
(1) Total amount of credits required is not less than 28. Every 20 classhours are equal to one credit.
(2) Degree courses(not less than 18 credits): Degree courses should be chosen from the list of the Subject Outline and cannot be replaced by other courses.In addition, the degree courses for foreign Master students will contain Chinese Language Learning (4 credits), Chinese culture (2 credits)?Advanced Computer Languages (3 credits), Mathematics(3-4 credits)and other professional courses.
(3) Elective courses require more than 10 credits. A11 courses should be chosen from the list of postgraduates\'courses.Courses for undergraduates cannot be given credits.
3. Elective courses should be chosen by a supervisor and student according to the requirement of the subject, basic knowledge and interest of the student.Courses across—subject or across-specialties are encouraged because it is helpful to explore areas of students\'knowledge. Student who study subjects of Art and Literature or Social Science should choose one course from Natural Science at least and student who study subjects of Natural Science should choose one course from Art and Literature or Social Science at least.
Paper Publishing
Master students must publish 1 paper in the core journals, or 2 papers in normal journals.
The topic of Published paper should be covered in the area of the subject studied.
China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) must be listed in the first place as a unit.Either postgraduates or supervisors can be the first writer, but only the first three writers can be accepted as the chief writers.However, if the paper is indexed by SCI or EI and the name of a postgraduate is listed in the second, the paper is just regarded as an article in a core journal for the postgraduate.
The paper must be approved by the supervisor before being submitted to a journal.
Graduation, Completion Of the Curriculum and Completion of the Courses
Postgraduates who have completed the courses required by the curriculum, and have reached the standard established for graduation, can graduate and be conferred the diploma.
Postgraduates who have completed the courses required by the curriculum, but have not reached the standard established for graduation, e.g. not published enough papers and hasn\'t passed the defense of thesis, may finish the study and will be issued a Certificate of Completion of Study.
Within the period specified by CUG, the postgraduates may retake the relevant courses or redo the graduation thesis or design. Once me standard for graduation is reached the postgraduates may change the Certificate of Completion of Study to the Diploma, the date of graduation will be the date of issuance of the diploma.
The University Academic Degree Committee will confer a Degree Certificate to the qualified postgraduates.
Postgraduates who have completed more than one academic year of study and then dropped out will be issued an Certificate of Study.
Diploma, Certificate for Completion of study, or Certificate of Study, or Degree Certificate, if 1ost or damaged, will not be reissued, but the owner can send an application to CUG.and if the case is verified to be true CUG will issue a document certifying the corresponding status.

If the original text is not in Chinese, a notarized translation should be provided.
*11. Two signed recommendation letters
In Chinese or English from professors or associate professors, at least one of which must be sent from the university where the applicant obtained his or her highest degree/diploma.
*12. Study plan or research proposal
In Chinese or English with a minimum of 800 words) detailing how applicant will combine previous study experience with the future research in China.
*13. Copies of the passport and working/income certificate of the guarantor listed in the International Student Economic Guarantee
