Entry Requirements
Applicants who are under 40 years old.
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passports.
Applicants must abide by the laws and regulations in China, having good character and respecting Chinese social customs and habits.
Applicants must meet one of the following academic conditions:
- Applicant has already obtained a master's degree or is an outstanding fresh graduate (the degree must be obtained before admission).
- Applicant has at least 6 years of working experience in the field of the chosen or related majors, and has published more than 1 academic paper in relevant academic journals.
- Applicant has obtained a master's degree or above.
Applicant is physically and mentally healthy without severe diseases, infectious diseases or serious physical defects. Applicant must pass the required national admission physical examination.
Non-native English-speaking applicants who apply for English-taught programs are required to provide TOEFL IBT (80 or above) or IELTS (6.0 or above) scores.

Program Highlights
The graduate division of the School of Environmental studies currently offers a Ph.D. degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering and a Masters degree program in Ph.D. degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering.We are also seeking to expand existing cooperative programs with 11 World-renowned universities and research institutions, including Stanford University, Moscow State University, Pierre and Marie Curie University (University of Paris VI), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, The University of Queensland and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) ,and continue to develop our relationship with the Graduate school of Chinese Academy of Sciences and other eight geological graduate school establish the “C2 Education Strategic Alliance”,an umbrella construct whose chief mission is to facilitate interactions among the numerous Universities and research institutions that share an interest in international joint training, academic visitor, international science and technology cooperation education.

Program Description
Teaching aims
The program aims at engineers and specialists with the knowledge of earth science, environmental science and engineering. The graduates will encounter basic and specialized knowledge for environmental protection, contamination control, environmental management and environmental monitoring. Graduates are cultured to know and understand Chinese culture, be familiar with international affairs, and acquire a global view. Our graduates can engage in the occupational areas of environmental evaluation, environmental programming design, scientific research, management and teaching.
Specialty instruction
The program aims to improve the scientific foundation of hydrological, biological, and geochemical processes and their interactions relevant to environmental remediation, water resources, and enhanced energy production.
